Broom Owners Club weekend |
17th Novermber 2011 |
Last weekend over 100 Broom Owners spent the weekend in Norfolk celebrating their enjoyment and ownership of a Broom boat. The weekend included a full tour of the 9 acre waterside site and facilities; a series of workshops and technical discussions chaired jointly by Broom and the Owners Club; a presentation from MD Mark Garner; a gala dinner at the Wensum Valley Golf Club and then the serious business of the Broom Owners Club AGM.

It is such a rarity these days to see a manufacturer and its customers working so closely together. This is what makes the Broom owners experience and the Broom Owners Club that little bit special. A great time was had by all and a big thank you to everyone who participated.

Broom appoint a new Design & Development Director |
3rd Novermber 2011 |
Broom Boats Ltd has recently enjoyed a successful Southampton show and seen renewed
interest from the market place. The business has delivered new products and a fresh approach
to its assured and well established presence in the British marine industry. The company is very
pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Warren as Design & Development Director to
further the progress of new models, manufacturing and supply efficiencies and design influence.
Graham has 25 years of boat design experience, significantly with Fairline Boats and a variety of
international clients with 500 Design; this move now brings this knowledge into the new Board

Recent media reviews of Broom's latest offerings and forthcoming developments
highlight the successful blend of Graham's design thinking and Broom's 113 years experience of
building robust luxury boats. This appointment confirms the company's drive to continue the
design and supply of quality products to the leisure and charter industry as well as offering

Broom opens up the throttle |
1st Novermber 2011 |
The order book at Broom has gone from strength to strength following the very successful launch of the new Broom 370 and Broom 455 at Southampton International Boat Show. The first 2 Broom 370s have left the production line and are on their way to customers in Holland and France. In the meantime Broom continues to recruit boat builders to meet the increased demand, evidenced by the full 370 production line below.
The Broom 370 featured in Motor Boats & Yachting as one of the stars of the show and MBY commented "the 370 is perfectly placed to attract newcomers to the brand without frightening Broom's famously loyal customer base". That comment summed up Broom's design and development objectives beautifully.

Broom launch weekend for new 455 and 370 |
31st August 2011 |
Broom Boats, Britain's longest established and award winning builders of luxury custom built motor cruisers, celebrated the launch of their new Broom 455 and Broom 370 on Broom Island at their 9 acre marina on the River Yare. Over 200 invited guests travelled from all over the UK to gain an exclusive preview of the two luxury cruisers.
The 200+ guests enjoyed Champagne and canapes throughout the afternoon and relaxed to the music from the classical jazz quartet. The long queues of guests waiting to view the boats proved well worth the wait and many guests commented on the outstanding quality of the build of the boat and the exquisite contemporary design of the interior.

This was the first ever viewing of the Broom 455 and the Broom 370. Guests were impressed by the vast and luxurious accommodation on the 48 feet Broom 455, which has three dedicated double cabins. One guest commented that the saloon had the look and feel of a luxury New York penthouse apartment and others likened the cabins to those of a boutique hotel. The high gloss walnut furniture, in ceiling hand rails and Broom's new signature panoramic transom window were just 3 of many special features which caught the eye.
The 38 feet Broom 370 was sporting a single Volvo D6 370 which unusually offers both economy and speed. Many guests enquired about the hybrid engine option, which offers up to 4 hours silent cruising. Some guests were found enjoying the leather Chaise Longue, with pop up LED TV and in built BOSE entertainment. Others admired the new intuitive, user friendly electrical control system, the splendour of the aft cabin and en-suite and the outstanding entertaining area in the cockpit.

Broom dealers from Norfolk Yacht Agency (James Fraser, Chris Cooper & Matt Sampson), Bray Marine Sales (Dominic Smoulders), Newark Marina (James Wilkinson) and Transworld Yachts (Willie Bewes) joined over 20 staff from Broom to meet and greet guests, chaperone guests onboard the boats and provide technical support.
A big thank you from Broom to all of our guests for making it such an enjoyable Summer's afternoon. For those that were unable to join us, the beautiful new Broom 370 and the ultimate in luxury new Broom 455 will be on display on pontoons M234 and M235 at Southampton Boat Show. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Broom launches new 370 |
26th May 2011 |

Broom at the London International Boat Show, January 2011 |
27th January 2011 |
A big thank you to all of you that visited the Broom stand at the London International Boat Show.
Broom Boats was delighted to exhibit a Broom 395, built at Brundall, Norfolk and handed over to dealer Dominic Smulders of Bray Marine Sales just before Christmas. The boat displayed how far the interior and styling of Broom Boats has moved on, with a beautiful contemporary cherry satin interior, exquisite use of cream and black leathers in the upholstery and modern and stylish soft furnishings. Like all boats in the Broom range, this boat retained the legendary boat handling and vast luxury accomodation associated with the Broom range of boats.

The Broom stand was manned by new dealers Dominic Smulders of Bray Marine Sales and Chris Potter of Norfolk Yacht Agency, together with long standing dealer James Wilkinson of Newark Marina. This reflects Broom's new sales structure, with all boat sales handled by Broom dealers, supported by Broom's knowledgeable and experienced technical team. Jason Boast, Colin Boast and Andrew Stone, all of Broom, were on hand to support the dealers and to promote Broom Brokerage, Broom Marina Services and Broom Boat Building Services.
Over recent weeks Broom management have been working closely with 'customer working parties' and dealers alike, reviewing the Broom range of boats. This more consultative and market facing approach is new for Broom and has been welcomed by customers and owners. The interior re-styling is already well underway and was evident in the boat on display. The demand for more sunshine and social space on the aft deck was delivered to perfection on the new 425 EC and again with this in mind there will be some exciting new features in the Broom 450 currently in production.
Broom launched its new corporate image at the Boat Show. The new navy and silver corporate colour scheme have been introduced by Broom's new management and displays their fresh and modern thinking. Broom invested in a stylish new tower stand system, built specifically to launch the new image at the show. Managing Director, Mark Garner said, "it is important to start innovating here at Broom again and regaining the position of leadership that this business has had in the past. The new branding marks the start of this process, but also retains the class and heritage associated with Broom Boats. Broom's boats are built to be used and the build quality, boat handling and vast luxury accomodation are all key features of a Broom boat. We will retain these core characteristics, whilst gradually aligning the boats with modern day living and styling."
The new Broom dealers received lots of enquiries for boats across the Broom range at the show and they will now be busy following these up. This will include factory visits for prospective customers, with the opportunity to view the current boats in production and see Broom's highly skilled craftsmen at work.

Unquestionably Broom. Definitely Different. |
