The Brundall Boat show took place on Saturday 20th May and hundreds of visitors came to Brundall to enjoy boats, tradestands, food and live entertainment. We were blessed with good weather and visitors made the most of the picnic area on our island to enjoy some tasty food and live music from The Walks band. Different events ran across the 3 marinas throughout the day providing plenty of activities, and visitors were able to travel between the sites by river taxi, which everyone thought was fantastic. We were taken a little by surprise that so many visitors were interested in how our boats are constructed and the process the team go through in order to prepare a boat for sale. We added extra factory tours to the schedule to accommodate everyone and visitors were also able to see examples of some of the other work we do like stainless steel fabrication, and Ben from our Custom Craft team was on hand to talk visitors through how he measures up a boat for a new canopy – all stuff that you don’t usually get to see at a boat show!
Out in the marina we had a wide range of pre-owned boats for sale along with some new Broom Boats models and an English Harbour Yachts 16 Launch. Sheerline Motor Cruisers also joined us with three boats, Jenny Wren was gleaming in the sunshine sporting her Classic Boat award nomination badge, and the new Tyler Broom narrowboat was out on the pontoon for visitors to view in advance of her official launch at Crick Boat Show. It was great to be able to show so many people onboard and help those in need of some advice about which boat would be right for them. We sold a Broom 35 Coupe at the show and have several other ongoing enquiries on brokerage boats. So much so that we are now actively seeking boats to replenish stock! So if you are thinking of selling or changing your boat, please do let us know - we are happy to consider part-exchanges.
Sat alongside the boats looking magnificent were a range of Lotus performance cars which had many admirers, including the band!
We were overwhelmed with the amount of positive feedback we received in the days following the show and delighted that people enjoyed it. People told us that they particularly liked the informal friendly feel to the show and the opportunity to view so many different boats in once place. Following the amazing response we had, we are pleased to announce that we are going to do this all again next year!
So, please mark Saturday 19th May 2018 in your diaries, and we hope to bring you another informal, friendly and engaging day of all things boating in Brundall.
