Broom at the movies 2022
In collaboration with Access Community Trust, we’re holding monthly outdoor cinema events throughout the summer boating holiday season. Each event will help raise awareness of the charity’s work while also raising vital funds.
Established 47 years ago, Access has grown in the last 9 years from a small, localised charity supporting individuals who are homeless into a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer with a team of over 180. Today, they provide dedicated support to tens of thousands of people across East Anglia every year.
Access supports people at risk of social isolation across four key areas: health and wellbeing, education, community social enterprise, and supported accommodation. At the helm is Chief Executive Emma Ratzer, MBE.
“Working alongside corporate partners is an exciting opportunity to bring new skills and opportunities,” says Emma. “Partnering with Broom gives us access to environmental and heritage projects to deliver outdoor learning and wellbeing opportunities for our most vulnerable and excluded people.”
Cinema nights is one of the ways in which Broom will be supporting Access Community Trust, adds Antony Howell, Broom MD. “I’m passionate about helping young people who need pointing in the right direction, both from a career point of view but also wellbeing. In the future, we aim to support Access in other ways such as wellbeing river trips for young people and families facing challenges such as stress, hunger, loneliness, poor health and lack of opportunities.”
All summer events at Broom must be pre-booked. Please call 01603 712334 to reserve your place. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for event updates.
