We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Lewis Philips as our new specialist heritage boat builder here at Horning Pleasurecraft and Broom Boats. With decades of experience in the boat building industry, Lewis brings a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for the restoration of classic boats.
Lewis began his career working with the highly respected classic boat builder, Maynard Watson. During this formative period, he gained invaluable experience and honed his craft under Maynard’s mentorship. Over the years, their professional relationship has evolved into a longstanding collaboration, with the two working together on multiple projects.
Lewis has worked with many renowned boat building establishments, including the award-winning International Boatbuilding Training College, where he honed his craft and contributed to the restoration of countless iconic vessels from all over the country. His dedication to preserving and enhancing the craftsmanship of classic boats aligns perfectly with our values at Broom Boats, where we have a rich history of building and maintaining high-quality boats for generations.
As a specialist in heritage boat building and repairs, Lewis will play a key role in the continued success of Horning Pleasurecraft and Broom Boats, particularly in maintaining and restoring the many classic Broom boats and other prestigious brands that grace the Broads. With his remarkable skillset, we are confident that his work will further elevate the quality and precision that Broom Boats is known for.
We can’t wait to show you the stunning craftsmanship and attention to detail that Lewis will bring to each project. His expertise will ensure that these beloved classic vessels continue to sail with the same elegance and charm they’ve always had, while maintaining the high standards that our customers have come to expect.
Join us in welcoming Lewis Philips to the team. We are really looking forward to seeing more classic boats looking great out on the rivers.
