We are delighted to announce our support for the Love the Broads campaign run by the Broads Trust, an independent charity set up to protect and enhance the Broads. Set up in 2012, Love the Broads has provided grants for 14 deserving projects across the Broads National Park which has helped wildlife, conservation and education.
As Britains’s oldest boatbuilder with a unique Broads heritage, and the operator of a fleet of luxury boats as part of the Broom Boating Holidays division, we are committed to the Broads and have pledged to help strengthen the profile of the Love the Broads initiative and raise awareness of the wide variety of local projects that the trust supports and funds.
Jenny Simpson, Marketing & Communications Manager for Broom Boats said “Broom Boats have been an integral part of the Broads since we started in business in 1898, and we are keen to offer our support to help preserve this unique and beautiful environment for future generations. As well as visitors to the Broads, it is equally about the people who live, work and learn in this environment and by supporting preservation and accessibility projects it will enhance the lives of us all.”
Peter Howe, a Broads Trust Trustee said “We are thrilled to have the fantastic support of Broom Boats, an iconic brand on the Broads, which will have a real impact and will ensure that the Broads remains special for the future”.
