Norfolk producers on the Broads
Broom is partnering with local producers and makers to bring the very best of what Norfolk has to offer to the Broads. What we love about Dann’s isn’t just the ice cream, which tastes amazing by the way, but their whole approach to production.
Dann’s is a small family-run farm based in North Tuddenham. Their ice cream is made with full cream and milk from their herd of Holstein-Friesian cows and eggs from their free-range chickens.
Fresh Norfolk ingredients
They make their ice cream by hand and the milk from their cows is turned into ice cream in under an hour. As well as ice cream tubs they also make sorbets, lollies, and Diddy Dann’s lollies, all available from our kiosk in a variety of flavours.
Dann’s use as many local fresh fruits as possible in their products, including elderflowers from their own farm. Other ingredients are sourced from fellow Norfolk producers and growers.
We’re delighted that Dann’s is one of our first local partners, although it’s tempting to keep popping to the kiosk for an ice cream when the sun’s out. We also sell a variety of other snacks including crisps, cold soft drinks and water – sandwiches, cakes and cookies depending on availability.
